Not giving a Fuck

I read this article from Mark Manson’s website. It’s a really nice read for all you people that give a fuck about every little darn thing in this world. Have a read and let me know what you think.

In my life, I have given a fuck about many people and many things. I have also not given a fuck about many people and many things. And those fucks I have not given have made all the difference.

To 2015 and New Year’s Resolutions

2014 was quite a year. From ups to downs, joy, sorrow, love, pain. You name it. What started as a year full of promise ended up being the total opposite. As 2015 dawned on me, I asked myself one question, what did I achieve last year? Apart from raise the bar in terms of alcohol consumption. I mean, I had a couple of resolutions that focused more on my career and my relationships. I seemed to have it together for a moment, but a few weeks down the road and everything just seemed to drift away. I have spent the last couple of days wondering why New Year’s resolutions always seem to fail me. Continue reading“To 2015 and New Year’s Resolutions”

It’s never too late

It’s never too late to be what you might have been – George Eliot

I’ve read these words from time to time, never really realizing how powerful they are until you’re home on a cold Sunday afternoon, listening to depressing rock music that makes you feel like punching Valium and Uganda Waragi for that extra edge, only to learn that it only makes you feel worse than you already are. But that’s beside the point. For many of us, we often live our lives expecting either the worst or the best from the experience we go through from day to day. We don’t stop to ask ourselves one question: “who am I and am I living the life as the person I want to be?” Continue reading“It’s never too late”

What about Parallel Universes?

I remember when I first watched Fringe, a television series created by J. J. Abrams, etc that premiered on Fox on September 9th, 2008. Starting a little slow (some may say boring), it wasn’t until the end of season one that the show began to pay for that 2K I spent at Eddie Soft. I especially remember when the show introduced the idea of parallel universes, with a season 2 teaser that showed Olivia (for those who watched) flying out of the taxi. Okay well, I’m not here to talk about the show, but rather highlight a few possibilities and theories that might suggest there is another version of you somewhere, at this moment, in a different timeline, probably with a better job? House? Well, I’m all about mystery and none-generalized stereotypes. Continue reading“What about Parallel Universes?”

What’s Real and what’s Not

This is my first blog post, and while I do have a great deal of time to catch up with the whole blogging thing, I’ll start off by writing about something that I have often thought about ever since I was a kid. What is real and what is not. I mean, all our experiences, perceptions, sensations, dreams, thoughts and feelings are forms appearing in consciousness, right? Life is made up of experiences, some more unusual than others and these experiences are translated into memories which make us who we are. Continue reading“What’s Real and what’s Not”
